As long as I could remember I have always wanted to run my own business. I
wanted a business that could afford me the lifestyle I had and more. I envisioned
a successful national and possibly international enterprise. I wanted to be
in control of my life, be debt free and be in a position to determine when and
how I worked. I wanted freedom and flexibility. I definitely did not want to
work from nine to five or have to report to anyone. After ten years of working
in a corporate environment I knew that was not for me.
As a mother of a two year old boy spending time with him and being around as
he grew was number one on my list. In addition, we were already thinking about
his future education and counting the cost. Although my husband owns a number
of successful retail outfits, I wanted to be able to alleviate some of the financial
pressure of from him so he too could spend time with our young son. I faced
a major problem. I knew what I wanted out of life and from a business but I
did not know what form that business should take.
Over the years I had tried my hands at a number of businesses but soon realised
that none of them was going to enable me to fulfil my wants and desires. Last
November I made up my mind to reactivate the giftware business that I had put
on hold a year before due to ill health. I decided to approach it from a different
angle. After much research I decided to develop a network marketing structure
for the business and began working on the idea.
Towards the end of November my husband came home with a cream that would prove
to be the turning point in my life. He had bought it for our son who had really
dry skin, a bit like eczema, at a local farmers market. The cream was fantastic!
It was the only thing that alleviated his constant itching and discomfort. A
few weeks later we needed to reorder more, as we were soon to go away on holiday
and didn’t want to run out of it. We called the number on the tube and
arranged a time for the distributor to deliver the order.
When the lady came to deliver the cream we got into a detailed conversation
about the products and how she got involved with the business. The more I heard
the more I liked what I was hearing. I was particularly interested in the fact
that it operated on a network marketing principle. I decided to look into it
further in the hope that I may be able to apply some of its business strategies
to my giftware company. I arranged another meeting with Mandy so we could
Discuss the business opportunities of her business in more detail.
At that meeting Mandy outlined the business opportunity available with Forever
Living. I questioned everything. I wanted to make sure that what I was hearing
was really real, that the business opportunities being outlined were reachable
and sustainable. What was being offered was exactly what I wanted to achieve.
I was amazed at the earning potential but more than anything I was impressed
with the product. I loved the fact that everything was one hundred percent organic
and chemical free. I was already convinced with the efficacy of the products
because the Aloe Vera Propolis Crème was and still is the only thing
that has worked for my son.
From a business point of view I was impressed with their business and marketing
plan. Here was a business that worked on the principle of everyone helping each
other. I could grow the business to whatever size I wanted to. I could also
extend my company internationally. I have the option of just earning an extra
few hundred quid a month or aiming for thousands. The choice is mine. More importantly,
I could work from home and spend time with my young son. Here was the opportunity
to build the business I had always dreamed of and the great thing was, I didn’t
have to do it alone. The support structure and training support is second to
none. The more I looked into it the more I was convinced that here was a business
system that worked.
A few weeks after my business meeting with Mandy I signed up to be an Independent
Distributor with Forever living Products and for under £200 I had started
my new business. A few months down the line I have absolutely no regrets. I
recently had a stall at Hackney Assembly Rooms as part of the International
Women’s Week of Events run by the Domestic Violence and Hate Unit of Hackney
Council. It was very successful. I have since had stalls at other events and
venues.
Like any new business it requires commitment, dedication and hard work but unlike
most new businesses, I know this one works because many have applied the simple
five-step formula and are running very successful and rewarding businesses.
If you, like me, have a serious desire not to continue struggling with debts
and worry over money, or if you want to escape the Rat Race to a better way
of living give me a call and I can show you what it is about Forever Living
that so impressed me. Business start-up fees range from £50 t0 £199.
