Hebburn Sea Cadets
Thanks to Maurice Crew for this photo
Dave Quensell tells us the photo is of the Christmas Party held in St. John's Ambulance Hall in Victoria Road 1954.
The girl in the back row was actually called Shirley Pope (not Temple as we previously thought) and she lived in Hedgley Road. Next to her is Eddie Farbridge who's parents ran "Roy's" pub on Station Road. Then there is Dave McCormick, Billy Ward, Allan Wappat, Elsie Livingstone, me (Dave Quensell, I was cadet of the year that year) and Johnny Jones.
The girl in the dark skirt is Pam Heron & the lad next to her, with the raised arm is Geordie Gowans. Peering over his shoulder is Barbara Vass & behind Geordie only partly visible is Mike Bonser with Alfie Jardine of the army cadets on his left.
In the front holding the certificate is Derek? "Geek" Moran. Next but one to him is Alec Livingstone (Elsie's brother) then I think Mike Lynch. 2nd from the right is Eddie Kelly and on the extreme right is Ray Blakey.
Mr Seymour is the Officer on the right.
