A photo of his older brother William George Stenner, who is standing in my grandmothers back garden at 8 Auckland Road.
The photograph has the Colliery Board School in the background, also the metal anex of the chapel next to the school.
It was taken around 1959.
This photo of Des grandad and cousin (Alan Stenner) who was presented with an award for saving a young lad from drowning in the river Tyne, the gentleman on the right of the photogragh is Mr Hopwood, headmaster of Jarrow Central School back in the 60s
