TONSILS

Another from John Moseley (that's him second from the right) aged four on arrival at Ellison Hall to have the tonsils out.
The year would be 1947. The lads are carrying bags with jim jams and teddy's in them.

(In hindsight, wasn't this a bizarre ritual which we inflicted on thousands of kids for no good reason?)
