Site regular Norman Dunn recognises two faces here: " The lad touching cup with left hand is Lawrence Wakenshaw who started a factory in Hebburn called 'Drill Turn' on Victoria Industrial Estate. The lad directly behind (standing) with smile on face is Derek Marr. Both went to St Aloysius RC school."

Alison George tells us that the man on the back row on the right hand side of the picture in the top photo is my granda Bob Anthony. On the bottom photo, he is the man in the flat cap.

Site regular Dave Lees says the tall guy with glasses on the left at the back is Joe Jardine who used to live in Burn Heads Road, The guy on the right with the over coat on (first pic) and a suit (second pic) is Tommy Waitman who used to live on Johnson Ave.

Michael Lynch recognises the player first from left as David Driver (of West Street) and third player from left as Patrick Faye (or Fay) ex St.Aloysious footballer

Joan Sprouting tellls us that the goalkeeper is Richard (Dick)Sprouting, her husband who unfortunately died in 1989. She also recognises Alan Drydon (back row top left next to Joe Jardine) and left of her hubby was George Clark who was nicknamed Flash. To the right of Richard was Jimmy Johnson & next to him was Brian Henderson. In the front row far right was Norman Feargrieves and holding the cup on the right was Freddie Anderson
